Hi! Thanks for finding your way here. My name is Alyssa (she/her) and I'm wrapping up my degree in Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley. My education has given me foundations in psychology, linguistics, and programming, with the flexibility to take classes in everything from asian american studies to landscape architecture.

I care about making experiences that are research-based and need-driven. Working with teams of all shapes and sizes, from a remote 12 person agency based in Mexico City to a global enterprise software company, have shaped how I collaborate with and serve solutions for folks from different backgrounds.

Most of my professional gigs are in digital UX design for web platforms, but I've also explored UX research, service experience design, VR game design, physical design, socially engaged art and 2D animation. Currently, I'm interested in learning how to design tools for inclusive online communities and democratized moderation.

Top of mind March 2020: COVID-19 design volunteer opportunities, Vulpeck live at MSG, ginger lemon tea, dreaming about The Fang, and Porco Rosso.
